"You must travel with me Daerundros. I am serious." Minyelaire said, looking at me intently. I pondered for a moment, thinking, before I decided that I wished to come to this journey to Harad. In truth, I was very tired of sitting in Imladris doing nothing: I wanted to go outside again."
So as I scribble down this page, I remembered how I bumped into Minyelaire at Imladris again. She had apparently lost a piece of paper in the hall, but had given up on finding it.
I offered to keep her company while she was here, and I moved us to a secluded corner, away from the prying eyes of other Elves.
"So, what brings you here to the Vale of Fancy-elves?" I smirked, looking at Minyelaire.
"I have lost a parchment here." She said. I surveyed the hall, hoping to at least find something that looked like a paper, but Minyelaire shook her head.
"I have give up on finding it now."
"Well, I should at least keep you company through the Hall."
Slowly we started talking about many things. I started droning on about how Minyelaire was no different from other Elves, and she told me about the Grand City of Kei Urdhasa, the main settlement of the Cinn-lai. Wondrously I listened as she told me about the various "castes" as they were called, and she blinked in bewilderment as I asked her if music and dresses were forbidden among the hall. ("What have the fancy-Elves been telling you?! That we devour Elves' hearts every full moon?")
Slowly she made me this offer to journey to Harad, and I accepted, knowing all too well how I was tired of sitting around in Imladris waiting for something to happen.
Prior to writing this into a spare leatherbound Journal I found, I went to my guest room and hastily took out a spare bag I kept, stuffing my clothes, my cloak, and some valuables in it. I knew it might be too soon to prepare for departure, but better earlier than late!
I surveyed around the room, thinking about the Journey to Harad, about perhaps seeing Kei Urdhasa, the city of the Cinn-lai, and what I might encounter there. From now on I shall keep this journal with me, to record the things of the sure-to-come adventure, so that I may peruse it and remember the memories.
