Home is Numenstaya

Fearanie has begun to feel very much at home in the steading of Numenstaya. She misses her parents in Forlond, but is making some good new friends. Foremost among them is Marawendi from the Greenwood, who she leads into more trouble that the latter would normally entertain. Although she is strict, Filignil the housekeeper and scout is also considered a much older, wiser and a touch authoritative friend. The old Nolde has earned the youngsters respect, and fascinates her with her tales of the past. Parnard is almost always entertaining in one way or another. She is a little wary still of him and some of his unusual antics, but knows he has a kind heart, if stranger tales. Marawendi appears to dote on him, so she knows there is nothing ill about his nature.

Then there is Ceuro and Yrill. The first she keeps a little distance from, knowing he suffers from losing someone he cared greatly for. The second, Yrill of Eregion is an inspiration to her. A mistress of lore in her own right, a highly experienced scout and archer, Fearanie knows that Yrill can travel almost wherever she likes safely. And she is feared by the enemy.

The Lord and Lady both have her admiration. Danel is the experienced and learned 'aunt' she never had in Forlond, with knowledge of the history of her people that her parents and grandparents lack. Estarfin is the warrior who she hopes will teach her to fight like a First Age Nolde.

And then there is her brother, Barahiirn.

With other interesting folk making visits, Fearanie is in her element, learning all she can.
