Trouble in the Shire, Chapter 2: Secret Market in Whitfurrows
| Date: | September 25th, 2025 |

| Time: | 02:30 PM ST |
| Location: | Bamfurlong, The Marish [34.3S, 64.4W] |
Event details:
Saradoc Brandybuck's investigators—a ragtag crew of Hobbits and Dwarves—have crossed the Brandywine River by stealthy use of the Bucklebury Ferry, and made it through the Marish to their contact, Farmer Maggot.
From him, they learned that Lotho Sackville-Baggins' corrupt Bounders are not the sole troublemakers in the Shire: there are Big Folk about, and they've closed the main gathering-places in the Four Farthings in the name of the Chief.
Since trading in Waymeet is no longer permitted, merchants have had to make do; indeed, there is talk of an unsanctioned market at Whitffurrows, where more information may surely be gleaned.
This is an unscripted roleplaying event, co-hosted by the Blue Mountains Regiment and the Hobbitry; it is open to kinship members of all levels.
The narrative takes place in and around the Chief's Shire, a player-made setting that explores the state of the Four Farthings under Lotho Sackville-Baggins' rule.
