The Foodadventure V - Far North

31. From Boop - "A Few Warm Snacks"

With a superior cup of red tea, a superior complete hobbit breakfast, a superior coney pie,
a superior Hornblower's pie and a pair of thick pristine leggings attached

Hey Paana!
That is a very wise decision, I won't send any more alcohol from now on.

I made sure all of today's dishes are warm for you, also added some thick leggings I found, it should all help with the cold!
Were the Lossoth welcoming at least? Do they have some interesting dishes to share with you?
...Oh I drooled at that idea!

Boopingly booping,
Boop

32. From Paana - "Can Finally Leave with Pants on"

Hi Boop.

Such warm and cozy pants you gave me. Trying to loot pants from those "I really wanna be a wolf" people didn't work, even if their fur clothes were warm they were more like a hooded cloak than pants. These pants are the perfect hobbit size too. I can finally leave this place in search of pantries that have more than fish and meat in them.

The warm tea with breakfast and pies helped a lot. And it's something else than meat or fish. I don't think those people over there liked me - it was so hard getting to their pantry tents with that wolf thingy cloak on me.
Hmmm.... maybe I looked like a cute and drooling "I want to be a wolf" child? Or do you toss spears on something cute? Time to head South anyways!

I'm planning on going through Evendim, they have only one real village that isn't full of those "protect our ancestors' things" warrior people. But they have alot of goblin camps and even two "I want to be a wolf" villages. Those people can't guard their pantries.... If I can't loot I can at least shoot a boar!

33. From Boop - "Can't Wait to Hear About Your Next Adventures!"

With a superior cup of red tea, superior roast pork, a superior bowl of oatmeal,
5 wafers of superior Lembas and one of Beorn's honey-cakes attached

Hey dear Paana,
I'm glad the pants fit you and that you don't have to get close to these strange wolf people anymore, feels like they would try to eat you at the first opportunity

:o

I'm afraid they wouldn't feel bad tossing spears at something cute!

Sending you more snacks that aren't raw meat or fish, will help in these strange lands, though Evendim is pretty close to home so you could probably get a delicious meal in Oatbarton, a nice hobbit village there!

I hope you know how to swim well, the lake there is way too big and the silly inhabitants of course had to settle on multiple sides of it...

Good hunt and adventures!
Boop Boop, Happy to Help

34. From Paana - "Found Some Cooking in the Wild"

Hi Boop!

Thanks once again for the delicious food. I'm soo happy I don't have to eat Forochel food anymore. They don't seem to know how to cook a healthy meal

The word "healthy" has a few holes in it because the writing touch was too hard

I discovered the lake you talked about and decided to try going around it through Annuminas. While I was there I planned to see if they had any food that gets better with age and has been forgotten.
They left because of a war I think? Unsure when.

But when I got there I discovered the place full of fighting humans.... And even some extra ugly ones that were extremely larges. I think they tried to pretend to be hobbits since they didn't have shoes on. I can understand why - being a hobbit is nice.
Anyway: the humans stopped me from looking for hidden pantries, so I had to flee out of the ruined town.

Soon after I found a good place. Some giants where cooking something in gigantic pots! Now I only have to figure out how to taste it without being seen. Wish me luck!

/Paana

35. From Boop - "Ugly Giant Hobbits?"

With a superior cup of red tea, superior vegetable medley, a stuffed cabbage,
superior delicious crispy bacon, a full breakfast and a spiced apple pie attached

So now the ruined city has dangerous and ugly giant hobbits roaming it? I will for sure never go there, that's way too dangerous...
But you almost reached the Shire, the only place that feels truly good, I'm sure you'll have a great time once back in our wonderful land!

There must be food for weeks in these pots if it's meant to feed giants! I'm very curious to know what they cooked.
But if these are the ugly giant hobbits, maybe they are cooking things that aren't tasty to us, properly sized hobbits?

:o

A friend, Guriwen, gave me a lot of food that was left after a big party she organized and asked me to take care of it by giving to the people in need, and I think you're the one most deserving of more snacks, with all your adventures!

Be careful with these giant hobbits, wouldn't be fun if they stomped you

D:

Booping always,
Boop

36. From Paana - "Giants Don't Cook"

Hi Boop!

I managed to take a spoonful of food from those giant pots, and what a let down it was.... It was just meat pushed into a pot and cooked until it fell apart. No cleaning out the non-edible parts, like the contents of the stomach and the bowels. I'm sure I saw both a hoof and a bit of poop in there.... And it tasted like poop and sweat, without any spices trying to hide it too!

After trying this nightmare of a dish I fled along the lake shore until I stumbled on a talking tree! It was as big as a normal tree but could move and talk. But the talk was so slow that I fell asleep. When I woke up there was a pot sized mug of water beside me. It tasted wonderful! It was the best water I ever had. I hardly needed to eat up the last of your treasured food, but did eat the last just in case.

Do you have any more?
/Paana

on the letter are a lot of stains, both what seems like clear water together with the vegetable medley and fat from the bacon. it seems she used the letter as a table cloth while eating....

37. From Boop "So no Secret Recipe From the Giants?"

With a superior cup of red tea, a perch fillet, a superior pork sausage,
superior sausages and mash and a strawberry tart attached

Hey Paana!
Looks like I won't take any inspiration from the giants' cooking skills to find new recipes then, I don't want my food to be that disgusting

:o

Do you think if I stand next to a regular tree for a veeery long time I might hear it talk? Or was that one talking tree a very unique one? Did it have any fruits? If so did you get to taste them? Also did you keep some of the magic water? Would love to try cooking with it.

I was happy to meet you in Bree after you come back from your adventures, it was very nice, even with my friends being their silly selves.
I didn't forget you and I'll make sure you get enough food that is actually tasty, and that every day!
Because of course I have more food, always!

Where will your adventures bring you next?

Booping always,
Boop
