I have found it at last. It was not that hard to find either, but it´s mere presence was... entoxicating. I can understand now why he wishes to find it so dearly. I have heard how diffrent he was after striking a bargain with the other one. Hound told me of it, but I doubted his words.
I have no doubt in his words anymore. Yet for all the power it could grant me... I needed none.
There is but one thing I desire and I shall claim it with my own skill, not with this, whatever it is.
Yet now... I have this man at my mercy. Such a quarry I have not hunted in a while... so skilled... so eager to win. Till the very last he resisted, fought back, even as he was bleeding from many wounds, while I suffered none.
There is no need for torture and I doubt he would ever tell me anything I wanted to know. There is but one thing I desired of him and I have learnt it upon his last breath. As he died, he whispered his name to me when I asked it. Just a name, yet it holds so much power by itself.
One should always know the name of their killer. It is... a fair trade. A small drop of justice.
...Galathir...
As I leave the mound I made for the fallen one in the Brandy hills, I feel in my bones the depth of my desire... and there is but one who can quench it.
A blood oath fullfilled.
