If one is a Breelander the news of the elderly hobbit Brito's latest scheme is inescapable. If one did somehow managed to evade the inexhaustable hobbit's invitations and loud discussion with every hobbit, dwarf and man in market and tavern alike, the note written in impeccably fastiduous handwriting, but rather brilliantly blue ink on the Boar Fountain reads:
A Party, Baking Contest, and Charitable Opportunity to help that poor Mr Hamphroy. On Friday afternoon we will gather at Mr Hamphroy's farm and help him pick his strawberries. There will also be a baking competition. If anyone wants to donate a suitable Prize that would be most appreciated, but I will offer free baking advice to winners and losers alike. -Mrs Britomartis Puddlefoot
Some of the most observant Breelanders might have noticed that the notoriously cantankerous farmer Hamphroy seems rather grumpier than usual and has spoken little about this event.
