Words on a parchment #2

It started again. They have ben pounding the door for the better part of an hour now. I almost believed that they gave up and left. But, that's not the case. The others are all awake now. I hope that they have gotten enough rest, this won't be easy, especially in the dark and the stench cannot be used to. It's horrible. At least it's quiet down there. Maybe for once we'll be lucky and we won't have to fight our way through a tomb. In any case, we have to cross it and one way or another we will. I don't believe that anyone will lose nerve. Panic yes. Be afraid yes. But lose nerve no. I don't think so.

They are still pounding the door. They are using something now. Something heavy. The doors don't look like they are about to give in any time soon if at all but I can't trust their strength or in luck. I fear that someone will have to stay behind and stand guard until the main group reaches the other side of the tomb and once they find an exit they will return and pick the guard up. If the doors start giving in the guard can alert the others before they are taken by surprise in the pitch black. I can't ask or order anyone to stay behind. It's going to be nerve wracking and full of uncertainty.  I'll stay here myself and Morfryn and Blodflaed can lead the others, they are both experienced, brave and intelligent enough to know what to do. Margrete will try to find loot no doubt and unless she triggers traps it should be fine. I'm sure that Blodflaed can keep her in check. Alcott listens, he doesn't seem afraid and he's a skilled fighter, I am sure he will do the right thing. The Hobbit will be tested for sure. We'll see how she does. Evonne is brave and has her wits about her. She will follow Morfryn and make sure that they are all safe. As long as the torches hold or they find material to stay in light it will all go well. I'll make sure that they get warning should the skeletons break through. I just need to convince Morfryn to go. He's a very loyal friend and he will not easily accept leaving anyone behind. The others too, but some accept things as they are easier than others.
