Back on The Road: The Battle of Men Erain and The Bittersweet Reunion.

As we rested well during the time that we were given, I stood upon the stone bridge overlooking the river in silence. All I had on my mind was my wife and my friend. I was worried to never talk to either of them again and yet longing so much to see both. I spotted some of the other gathering up and it seemed up that we had another task incoming. That was when I spotted a familiar figure, that I thought has left these lands already. Faethuil, son of Forngarmo. My dear friend I was thinking about so much. I was glad that he decided to come back and do what was right for once. His mother would be so proud of him if she knew and that was what I told him. He seemed worried more about his family matters than the probability of another battle coming. Soon even the leader of the warriors joined us and that ended our talk, we joined up with the others and analysed the battlefield. We were up to help the Elite Cavalry of the Order this time. Thus, a band of warriors and their allies was formed again. Four Gondorians, man of Rohan, an elf, two Dunedain and a dwarf as well as the other warriors following us. We left the camp after preparing ourselves and after a time we have reached Men Erain to witness the battle already taking place in there. We pressed valiantly through the enemies as we have reunited with the main force. We kept on fighting as long as we could but that did not stop the enemies from taking three of us hostage. Me, Faethuil, Aethelhard and Morithain went ahead, chasing the captors through the waves of enemies to free our allies. I glanced at them, doing my best until a wave of pain and darkness came across me. A strong hit. I only heard Belenir's voice. "Try to crawl from underneath your steeds!"  That was the last thing I have heard before my world grew dark.

I do not know how long I was in the dark but soon I felt someone nearby and opened my eyes, not fully aware of what happened yet. I spotted the ranger captain and Faethuil nearby, helping tend to my wounds. "T-thank...you..." I forced myself to say as for some reason I was having a hard time breathing and speaking. I heard the two talking but didn't focus on it. Until I saw it. Forngarmo. She was laying beside me, looking broken and lifeless. Tear formed in the corner of my eye and I was not able to recompose myself. I reached out to hold her cold hand. I wanted to let her know that she is not alone, that she has my support even if she was not able to see me. I remained like this as the two talked about my beloved wife, causing a slight smile upon my face. I drifted off then, only to be awoken by the slight movement by my side. I glanced at my friend with hope as she seemed to wake up. I was so happy when I saw her looking back at me, I was given another chance to spend time with her once I get upon my feet once more. The two talked with her as she managed to sit up. I was not able to join them. I heard the captain of the rangers having a breakdown moment due to the past battle, I heard Forngarmo's motivational speech but I knew I had to say something. "Y-you saved...us.." I forced myself to say, so she won't forget that both me and Aethelhard have been saved by her. Then, I heard them talking more, hoping that I have helped the ranger to see her importance.
