Khysayor goes to the Pony for some fine ale, and good company. Instead he find his political rival, Miss Britomartis Puddlefoot, and one of the dishonorable ranger folk (Though he does not know it). Britomartis, and Astor then both scoff at his fine idea to protect Bree with ballistas. In return, Khrysayor does the honorable thing, and buys them all a round of ale.
