The Fourth Age: The Rantost Skirmish, part two.

Upon the unexpected arrival of Fajr and the elite corsair unit, Captain Belenir quickly evaluates the escalated threat. The seventeen elite corsairs, donned in their distinctive golden armor, are a formidable sight as they swiftly form a shield wall around their leader, Fajr.
- You will die like the coward Hunhir did... he begged for my mercy when I sliced his throat! - Fajr's taunting words about Hunhir hung heavily in the air. Thandanar inspected the battlefield with his keen eye.
- Thangail! Shield wall! - He then yelled. Minaiadan raised his sword a bit higher. Forngarmo gave the corsair a hard stare, as she stayed ready. Aelwynna shook with fury listening to Fajr. Only the wizard seemed not affected by the situation, he just stood aside smoking his pipe.
- Do not engage at once, we will need you rested if things go ill. - Minaiadan then said nodding to Aethelhard.
- Is that so?! Well, come and face us, you brigand? Or is it thee who is the coward against the might of Gondor? - Thandanar then called back to him. Fajr's accusatory finger pointed squarely at Aelwynna, his voice filled with venom as he accused her.
- You were there, didn't you? We will write stories about Hunhir the coward... and how he died like the scum he is. - The corsair then continued to taunt the fighters. Forngarmo stayed focused due to no knowledge about the past events about which they spoke.
- Silence, you monster! - Aelwynna then answered.
- There is one word you are missing, corsair. That word is "IF"! - Thandanar then yelled towards the corsair. Fajr uttered a cryptic phrase in the Umbaric language, it served as a signal to the Corsairs who had been waiting nearby. Fourteen of them, their faces masked by grim determination, charged at the company's location, swords drawn and ready for battle.
- Ready yourselves! - Thandanar then yelled and the Forngarmo readied herself to strike alongside their allies. Soon, the group has formed a shield wall to push back the enemies while protecting the ranged fighters. The wizard continued to spin and squirl and air around him.
- BEHOLD, my STORM for you!!! - He cried out bringing down deadly lightning on the corsairs approaching, hitting them all at once. Aelwynna began to mutter something dark and terrible at the onslaught of corsairs. However, she semed unsure while using her powers which resulted in her stumbling and winding up knocking Aelthelhard to the ground as if he was punched in the gut. Minaiadan tried to swat the smoke away with the sword, also, checking some moves in the meanwhile. Aelwynna gasped and moved back, hands pressed over her mouth as she saw what she had done to her own ally. Forngarmo did her best to focus her vision on the corsairs, sudden hit on the ally by the black speech woman made her even more mistrustful. She checked on Aethelhard. Minaiadan tried not to stab him as he fell almost on Minaiadan's sword. Also, there was a smell of burning... hair, in the air. Forngarmo had to turn back towards the corsairs as she made sure the warden is alive. Aelwynna backed away again in horror and shock, shaking her head. She seemed to think of fleeing, but remembered her duty as healer. She cautiously approached the Rohirric man and kneeled at his side. She sighed with relief as she saw that he was breathing. The wizard appeared to be conjuring up something else, he moved his staff in front of his body.
- Let the earth crack beneath you! - He yelled then, doing as he said. Aelwynna kept taking care of Aethelhard in the back as the group continued fighting. Forngarmo valiantly pushed back against the upcoming wave, trying to protect herself and her new allies. Minaiadan swiftly stroke two corsairs, sending them to sleep, then he retreated back to the fellowship.
- Stand fast stand true! - Thandanar clashed with the wave of Umbarrim, the thud of blades hitting his shield echoed through the ancient stone ruins. Belenir bashed with his shield pushing the corsair advance back. Forngarmo did her best but she couldn't manage to keep everyone at bay, one of the corsairs makes it through her but soon enough, is killed by the wizard.
- For honor and glory! - Belenir yelled as he charged, leading the group further. Wielding his two-handed sword with both skill and ferocity, he swiftly cut down two of the corsairs with a powerful swipe. As another enemy lunged at him, he expertly dodged the attack and immediately countered with a precise thrust. Thandanar and The Forngarmo followed right after, being at the ready to protect him and each other. Realizing the tide of battle had turned against them and their numbers significantly diminished, Fajr, accompanied by his three Corsair guards, made a strategic retreat toward the safety of the inner camp.
- Coward! If this is how a corsair fights, then you should be ashamed! - The ranger then yelled behind the corsair commander.
- Empty words you threw at us! - Thandanar then added. Minaiadan parried an unexpected arrow as it flew really close to his chest.
- We should aid them - The fighters then heard Aelwynna talking to Aethelhard at the back. Forngarmo lunged forward and drove Argalad (her greatsword) through an enemy instantly killing the corsair.
- So, what'd I miss? - Aethelhard then said looking to the right, towards The Forngarmo. She glanced back at him taking a moment of respite.
- Glad to have you back. Just a few deaths and a coward commander. Not much.. - She chuckled for a moment. Aethelhard acknowledged the info, driving a sword into a charging villain as well. Thandanar would parry the curved blade of a Corsair's blade on his own. The twang of Umbarim steel on Umbarim steel rings through the ruins. Thandanar in meanwhile knocked his opponent's blade away before striking down at the Umbarrim's neck, biting deep. In the midst of the intense battle, his atttention swiftly shifts to another approaching corsair. Displaying remarkable reflexes, Belenir braced himself, blocking the incoming attack with his sword. With a fluid and decisive motion, he then countered, thrusting his sword directly at the corsair's chest. Aelwynna was seen then running to join the battle, though she seemed to be shaken after hurting an ally. A corsair rushed towards her and she backed away in fear, looking too scared to attack. The corsair laughed and stabbed her in the shoulder. She cried out in pain, stumbling backwards. Forngarmo glanced back at her, still mistrustful but rushed to the aid.
- We must waste no time. More Corsairs will be upon us. - Thandanar then said towards them.
- Forwards to the inner camp! - Belenir then cried out.
- We must press on! - Aelwynna said clutching her shoulder as blood began to seep through. She looked wide-eyed at the Forngarmo.
- Be cautious. They have likely prepared an ambush - Thandanar then said calmly. The ranger nodded at his words but that didn't stop her from displaying the banner of Gondor to boost the resolve of her allies. As company climbed the stairs, they reached a pivotal moment in their quest. Before them stood the formidable last line of Corsair defense, including their leader Fajr. The Corsairs, battle-hardened and determined, were ready to protect their inner sanctum at all costs. Among them, a towering Corsair warrior with a war hammer poised for combat, a nimble and agile woman in tight golden armor brandishing two deadly knives, and the imposing figure of Harzim, his massive two-handed axe gleaming in the dim light, his golden armor adorned with the engraved image of a boar on his chest.
- Edledhio uin ndôr nîn! ((I banish you from my land!)) - The Forngarmo then yelled, preparing herself for the last leg of the assault with the others.
