Amorith's diary. page 23

Sometimes is strange how a day can turn into something quite different than expected.

I have been in Dullond for some days now,  in the large libraries that keeps hold of many ancient books..
Ever since Earinlin left to Lindon and my Mother to Lorien, I have used my time on my books, kept letting my thoughts wander and gain more knowledge..
Some say that solitude is a poor life, is not quite true... With books I find replacement for what I miss deep inside, and I awake feelings and emotions through what I read... But there is one thing the books cannot replace and that is this sadness I feel deep inside, when I cannot see those I love most in this world..

I was wandering in Dullond ready to go back to Imladris, when I out of nowhere met those brave guardians from the Grey Watch. I call them guardians, for me I cannot find anymore suitable word. Many times they have come to my rescue and it was luck that I met them this beautiful day, when the sadness overwhelmed me and I was ready to leave..
They were here to celebrate the new year. Everyone smiled and looked so beautiful in their robes and dresses... Even Lady Isilmewen was with them and she looked radiant as always... They asked me if I wanted to join them into this celebration. I felt so embarrassed when I nearly answered before they where finishing the question, my sudden outburst made me feel this sudden shyness, and I looked away to avoid their facial expressions..
But as always Curugirion and Aearandir and their friendly appearance, made me relax again. And suddenly I was amongst them riding downhill the path to the Havens in Celondim..

They found a glade that was hidden west of the docks. The sun-rays through the trees almost made silvering light on the ground..
It was a beautiful place, and a ceremony took place, several infact.. The ceremony was a symbol of meeting the new year. The act I remember the most, was when we made a circle, holding hands and met the spring and the new year in a very beautiful way.. I felt included and solemn.. And suddenly didn't feel alone anymore... I realized I was amongst friends..

Curugirion was the one that spoke, beautiful words about the new year...about life and the nature that was awakening... Even myself felt alive again by hearing this soothing words..
Durthand served us wine in crafted cups she made herself to this occasion, and her generously gave us those cups as a gift to remind us about this evening...
Aearandir was playing music on his harp.. Beautiful music that made me dance, I danced all evening and all night..And this joy I felt inside where made me forget about my troubles..
Aearlinn danced by my side, the beautiful elven maiden with those nice eyes.. Always very kind with her words...
Gwaralind ended the night with a poem about Golden Bells.. And I wrote his poem down in my diary. So I can read it later to remind me of this evening...

When dawn arise and the stars faded away I had to leave myself.. But not to Imladris, I left to my place close to the Library in Dullond.. My new friends house where resident closeby.. I had hopes to see them again soon.. After all is a new year.. And perhaps I should leave the library now and then, and choose to visit friends..
