Naefr is Longbeard Dwarf, who is currently in the second decade of his second century. A venerable age for an ordinary Dwarf.

Naefr's father, Hjalti "Hornfels", fought for Thráin II at the Battle of Azanulbizar where he met his end, only getting to meet his newborn son briefly before fighting in the fatal melee.

Naefr's mother and uncle, who survived the battle, went with Thráin II to settle Ered Luin, which Naefr considers his home and point of origin though he was technically born atop the Misty Mountains.

Naefr found a seemingly inherent love for history and runes, (especially Angerthas, naturally), growing well-versed in both aglab and iglishmek. The greater he came to understand words and their power, the more he grew specifically fascinated in runes.

NAefr became wise and skilled in the practices of healing over the years.

Over the century and a half since he dedicated himself to Runemastery, Naefr has travelled much of Middle-Earth and diligently aided the Seven Dwarf Clans and Free Peoples in general with his wisdom, virtue and magic, all whilst pursuing his prevailing desire to discover and chronicle its history in lasting iglishmek, and share it with interested parties in aglab Khuzdul or common tongue.
