Cloves' Diary - Tenth of Wedmath

Another practice tonight. Silkweed found us a fourth member - a nice Hobbit-girl called Glamua. She plays about everything, just like the rest of us, and seems quite proper. We decided on the name of the band now! It was (sort of) my suggestion. We threw around pie-related names, so I said "Pies and Pipes". We shortened it to "Pied Pipers" after a few rounds because nobody could remember whether the pies or the pipes came first. I hope nobody will think we're exterminators now, but in any case it sounds good enough! Then I got charged with the office of creating a uniform for the group. Great! My old travelling clothes are wearing out anyway and the band hasn't made enough yet to afford new ones. I suggested we make it a contest, to spread the name of the band around a little. Going to draw up a poster. Some woodcut should do fine - then put it up in the Shire and Bree and so on, and -- Profit! I also got the office of "location scout" for the band. This basically means that I turn up beforehand and find a good place to play on, clear a table or the stage or something. And the dwarves want to see us tomorrow again. Great!
