To Cesistya: A Brief Letter

A small envelope arrives at the Prancing Pony, with strict instructions for the forgetful Barliman Butterbur to give it to the ubiquitous red-clothed elf who warms the spots by his door. Upon the envelope is a green wax seal of a horse's head within a circle. Easily recognized by the elleth as that of Brynleigh's family name and house. Within, a tidily folded piece of parchment, containing the woman's neatly tilted handwriting.

"Dearest Cesistya,

I am writing to you so that you will not worry, since I have not been to see you for some days now. I fell ill while in Combe, and was taken by a friend to the village of Herne, about a day's ride south of Bree. There is a good inn here, and they felt a change of air and scenery might benefit me.

I have not forgotten my need to speak with you soon, and tell you about just why I am here in Bree-land again. It is far too much to write, however. It must be shared in person.

I will look for you when I return to Bree next. Do not worry for me, my dearest friend. If you have need, or simply wish, you may write to me at the Crossway House Inn at Herne.

All my love,
Brynleigh"
