The slight blond girl slowly stirred on the mat at the sound of the horses becoming restless. The first signs of morning light creeping through the window. Her arms pushed out from her body in a slow stretch as she rolled on to her back. While she continued stretching she realized there had not been a single hint of a nightmare. It had been a whole week since she had woken up in terror! She lifted her left hand and slowly uncurled her fingers. Looking at the scar on the palm of her hand, she smiled to herself humming a few bars of a tune as she rose and prepared to start her day.
