My Own Family?

"What should we name it if it's a boy?" Allie's husband, Ancot, mumbled incoherently in response to her question. They were both laying in bed comfortably, and his hands lay on her slightly protruded belly affectionately.

He was so excited about their child. Allie was worried that he seemed more excited than she did at this point. But maybe it still didn't feel like reality to her.

"Will it feel like reality when I feel it kick the first time? Will it even feel real when I hold the babe in my arms?" Her thoughts tended to run like this. If morning sickness and mood-swings didn't make it feel real enough, would anything?

"Am I actually going to be a mother? Do I have what it takes?"

Cottie always assured her that she definitely had what it took. Easy for him to say, when anyone could tell he would make the best father.

Still, as she fell asleep with both her and her growing child being cradled so lovingly by her husband, she figured her life tended to feel like a dream ever since he came into it anyway. Even though he snores like a bear.
