This letter is not as neat as other letters penned by this person. The shaky letters, uneven rows and ink smudges indicate an uneven surface used as writing table. A dry spot exists on the bottom left corner where a tear dried out.

My dearest,
I cannot believe that I see the sun rising over the horizon of our land. My home, our home. The crisp air is soothing against my skin. The earth beneath my feet smells the way it always did. As I pass my hand over the grass, the tingling sensation is just right. Each breath I take is a blessing.
The happiness that overflows my heart right now is too much to contain. My poor mare is fed up with her bouncing rider. Maerstan cannot hide his smile as he is showing Wiga the majestic view of the plains we call home. I cannot stop from thinking that all of this will finally feel like peace.
I am fully aware that we are only half a day’s ride away from Cliving, but I have to put those thoughts into a piece of paper for you, for me. How else will I keep my head and heart in order for all else that comes? So much joy waits for me just around the corner.
It has been hard living amongst those people… Can you imagine that two of them accused me of being a crazy stalker? How does that even work? Maerstan is as confused about this, as I am. But it matters not now, all of them are in the past and I am almost there. I will deliver this last letter to you by myself with an open, joyous heart.
Almost home, love.
Lady Adiwen of Rohan
