Rivendell, present time
(after the return from Enedwaith, but before the Misty Mountains expedition)
Olriandis stepped into the room where the bath was prepared for her. Candle lights were dim, the air was full of the smell of essential oils. She slipped out of her tunic and stepped into the hot bath. “Who knows when will be the next, since we are departing on another expedition soon” - she thought with a light sigh, plunging into the water slowly.
“How lucky was I to get that opportunity and how smart to take it! Hanging around the halls one day I was asked to take a message to the South for a group of elves. It's good to go out and get to know people. I always say that to Nelfahir. It's weird he locked himself in the study since our return to Rivendell. He says he had enough adventures and material to study for several yeni. Pfff. So now I’m a part of something really big and important! Maybe even too important...Is it dangerous? Nah, I’ve survived till now just well, I’ll manage” - she waves her hand slightly in a dismissive manner. - “But the story is intriguing and worrying. And our Lords are so wise! And brave! Thinking about Lords - Oh Eru I hope I’ll never ever again make Lord Tindir angry. But it seems he already forgot about me being too sharp-tongued towards that mortal woman. No wonder with all things that happened after that! But such a power in his voice and a glance, especially when he is angry! “ - Her face gets a look of inspiration and admiration. “Could I possibly become a commander? Maybe if I had stayed in Mirkwood? Hmmm…” For some time she looks like considering hypothetical career paths for her.
“Oh and that one in the armour colour matching mine. He just can’t stop smirking!" - She rolls her eyes, but not too far. - "How cocky can he be? Does he think it makes him more attractive, I wonder...” she sniggers and smiles to herself mischievously.
Many more thoughts could pass in her head, but let’s leave her alone with them, enjoying the last evening in comfort before the frost of the Misty Mountains.
