Music for this scene: Remember
"Until death does us part," Aellwenn muttered these words as she stood in the midst of the solitary graveyard. For He only desired to be remembered by those that mattered to him. And She mattered to him. Long before anyone else loved her he did. Even when she was once too blind to see. "You deserved so much more than what life gave you. You honored your countrymen and honored those that ruled over you. Even when you did not agree with their methods of achieving the greater good."
"If other people knew you as I did, they would be able to understand the extent of my grief. When a man and wife exchange their vows. It is not expected for one to pass before the other. Had I been a weaker woman.. I would have joined you because of my grief. But who then would look after our son? You loved him so much, you longed to teach him how to be a man. To tell him of Gondor and all of its splendor. Of the kings of old and of mighty Númenor. You desired to teach him of my people. The Eorlingas that you found yourself so fond of. Long has the friendship between the House of Eorl and the Kings of Gondor endured."
"We are bold but not cruel, belonging to no one but ourselves, singing many songs, yet writing no books. Generous in thought and deed. And true-hearted. If there is a liar in our midst then they should be ashamed to call themselves Eorglingas. Father must have loved Mother at one point. You and I both knew him not to be a short-sighted man. You served Father well until he no longer had use for you. You once admired him. You thought that you would be lucky if you could even be half the man that he was and perhaps still is. Thoughts of our home countries have been invading my sleep of late. It's been silent for twelve years. And the matter of your demise I had hoped rested with you. But it seems even in death you bring your wife split hairs and laughter. Do you see what you have left me with Raymond? Your bittersweet legacy and the mess that you tried so desperately to clean up. By Orome I never thought that I would miss you this much. I'm sorry that I haven't visited you as much as I should. I can only hope that no one sees me like this. For what is a woman at a gravestone? Raving mad. Perhaps, but sometimes I still feel you. You're here and yet you're not."
After her long monologue, the Lady brushes the moss off of the gravestone. And silently reads the words engraved into the stone. 'Here lies Ser Raymond, Knight of Dol Amroth. And loving Father, may he find peace in the arms of Kings.' They say that time heals most wounds. But for Aellwenn she simply learned to nurse them and to use those wounds as strength. She kisses her hand and presses it against the tombstone. Before giving her parting words "We'll talk again soon. Maybe I'll bring you a story. Tell my sister I love her and that I'm sorry. So very sorry.."
