Our first part of the expedition reached its end in Needlehole where we took a few days of break to recover from the long walk and the fight with the Dourhands. Once we were well fed and energized by sleeping on decent beds, we decided to proceed with our journey.
This part of the journy occured somewhere in the beginning of October and it was a good relaxed walk were we enjoyed the cosy countryside and gossiped a bit about the local folks until suddenly we were stopped by a Bounder somewhere close to Tuckborough. Apparently a large group of brigands made a deal with goblins and captured the Smials and its surroundings. The Bounder was wondering how he could free the spot and then he encountered us. He was only worried if we would help him or not and if our help wouldn't be too expensive.
But we proud members of the Regiment made an oath to fight evil and protect the roads! So we voluntarely offered our assistance! Piece by piece we liberated the hill around the Smials and after a long, ferocious battle and some bruises and minor scratches at our side we drove off the enemy to find out that all the Hobbits were still safe. They successfully managed to barricade themselves inside the Smials and great was the celebrations when they came out! Well done, Brothers of the Regiment!
After cleaning the destructions of battle, good meals and some rest we continued our journey towards Stock, were we planned to have a short rest in the Golden Perch. Here and there we encountered some other adventurers with whom we had some small talks and gathered some info about the road ahead, but so far it was an enjoyable hike towards Stock.
Once arrived we immediately headed to the Golden Perch to quench our thirst with a good fresh beer! Ah still remember that beer... It was a good one! Not as good as the one from the Ale Association but still good enough to enjoy it as a very good quality beer! Well done little friends. Remarkable fact. Another dwarf entered the Perch, a lil bit surprised but also interested by our disciplined military approach. Especially after a few beers that is. So our present officers managed to convince him to become a soldier. And me as Captain of the Paperworks, I've always some recruitment scrolls with me! So as soon as he placed his signature, Master Unnak became a voluntary unpaid Soldier of the Blue Mountains Regiment!
Oh well... I guess some maybe with a hungover but not traceable the morning after we headed towards Bree. Nothing really remarkable happened, We mainly saw some forest and grassy plains, occasionally had to kill a bear, a herd of wolves and some boars for food. More and more we encountered some adventurers indicating that we came closer to Bree. And indeed... there it was... In the morning of 15th October we reached Bree!!!
There we decided to book some rooms for a decent sleep in the Prancing Pony were we would stay for a few more days to get the necessary rest, do some tradings and how it evolves after that... Well that is for part 3 of the expedition! And Erebor? Still not in sight at the horizon!
