The Stars Are Always Watching

And some days I pray

And some days I do not

I forget

That I could never be loud enough to be heard

by gods who do not care how my fate untangles itself

But one day I shall look to the stars

And my voice shall be heard

Hail, Queen

Varda herself in her shimmering light shall come down

but her beauty pales when i think of you

And I shall ask of her then

"Why are you and your light so distant from us?"

She says,

"Young fool prince, how could you say such a thing?"

she lays her hand on my cheek but it is cold

"I have given you a star to hold and to guide you."

Then, she is gone, and I am left to realize

You're here

And she is right; your hand is firmly clasped in mine

this be the day i cease praying to the gods

this be the day i start praying for you
