Book 2. Log 2. Entry 1

One patient has been lost and another is back on his feet.

After my talk with Catalinna it was decided I would attempt to continue the boy's treatment, but despite the new shipment I received, there wasn't much that could be done.
He passed peacefully. I may not have been able to remove the growth that plagued his abdomen, but was able to take away his pain. I will wait for a few days before I ask permission from the mother to take the boy's body and study it. Perhaps if I can understand this growth, I may be able to do something next time.

The other has recovered, taken his belongings and left. I do not know if he'll return. It would have been pointless to try and stop him. Like a wild animal, he desired to back out in the wild, away from this house that has been his prison for far too long.
I will hope to see him again.

The new one seems to be settling in well and the two have split the chores between them. It has given me time to work, perhaps too much time. With these new ingredients and another delivery arriving soon, there is much to test out and experiment with. I've not had my hands on many of these ingredients, at least not for a long time. A lot was wasted trying to find a cure for the boy. I'll have to be more careful if I'm to make new medicine for the people of this land.
