In the Lair of the Blood-queen

When not on errantry from Master Elrond, or scouring the lands in search of lost lore, the Elf-scholar Seregrían will repair to her own private retreat, hidden near the banks of the River Lhun.

Few have ever visited Seregrían in her lair, a place of silence and study and contemplation by fire and lamp light. But fewer still are even welcomed by the pensive Elf-woman who shuns the company of those she will not hold congress with.

Even the twin children of her adopted family, Farohir and Eldariel, have rarely seen inside the walls of her private world. And the twins, with their penchant for mischief and pranks, have even given a name to the dwelling of their pensive, humorless aunt:  Torech Besruth, "The Bitch's Lair".

Now, contrary to belief, a life of adventure is not solely combat or passage of arms, but also quiet and thought, and this is also true in the case of Seregrían.  When she is not slashing and burning a path through the forbidding wastes, she can be found in the parlors of her own secluded retreat in the mountains.

In her vast library and word-hoard, the enigmatic elf-woman pores over ancient maps and texts of near-forgotten tongues, searching for the morsels of lore that will spirit her onto her next sojourn across the lands.  But there are times when, despite her ages-long intellect and iron resolve, the answers she seeks elude her - and the Blood-queen will vent her fury with clenched fist and grinding jaw, slamming her hands upon the table with blistering oaths.
