4 A new start

She was tired, her heart was aching, her memories overshadowed by the recent events. Clouddancer knew the girl was exhausted and slowed down to a walk as soon as they passed the south gates of Bree. Lustwyn's head hang down, her eyes were half closed..she was barely awake. The journey from the east took weeks but she finally had arrived at her destination, Bree.

Having nothing but a horse, a few coins and a sealed envelope, her rations finished, her mouth dry and her face covered with dust she went searching for an inn. A friendly citizen directed her to the Prancing Pony where she paid for a room and a bath, after having given the letter to Mr. Butterbur as instructed by the Elf.

The next day she woke up, fit and ready for her new life. There was no reply yet from the woman named Ilyana and after having taken her breakfast she went out of the inn. The sun was bright, the town square she faced was crowded. Feeling a little lost in this strange town she descended the steps and looked around, her eyes caught the sight of a woman with a little cat following her. She smiled and walked up to her, her eyes locked on the little creature. The woman halted when she saw Lustwyn's reaction to the cat and Lustwyn looked up to greet her. But the greeting never exited her mouth. Her eyes widened as she stared at the woman, it was as if she was looking at her own face. The hair, the skin, the eyes......

The woman blinked and stepped back, not trusting the staring girl, not understanding why she looked at her this intently.

Lustwyn apologised and introduced herself, explaining her initial reaction, the woman smiled and replied: "So you are Lustwyn......my name is Ilyana.. "
