Married. Leoffrith and I were finally wedded only a few days ago, and yet nothing feels like it has changed, except for the house. Our new house is so much bigger and so ready to have little feet running around it. The wedding was splendid, if I am so vain to say (I am). I think everyone had a wonderful time, myself and Leoffrith included. I think he was a lot more nervous than I was. Israa and Byrge both helped me prepare the feast for the wedding, and I was surprised by how many people took to our cooking. I've never seen such a happy expression on Byrge's face than when he ate the food during the party. I sent him a letter, and I left a crate with Barliman of several jars of spices to give him.
I want to say it was thanks for helping with the cooking, but it was really because I saw how happy the food made him, and I've never seen Byrge so happy!
Israa accompanied me to the market yesterday, after we talked a little about Evendim and some research she was doing. I don't think I would be of any help, but I do love to read and wouldn't have minded at all to help her. We talked a bit about Khazim too, whom I didn't know she had already met! And then, funny enough, he happened upon us in the market that same day, after we had just talked about him! They kept me talking so long, but it was such a nice time. I did get home a bit late, and dinner wasn't started until much later, because then Leoffrith also distracted me once I got home. It was one thing right after another.
Leoffrith and I discussed names after Israa put the thought in my head. He doesn't seem hung up on tradition, and I am secretly very grateful! Having a bunch of children all with their names beginning in 'Leof' sounds like it would be very confusing. But we decided that our girls would be named in Haradric, and our boys would be named in Rohirric. I think it's very fitting, though he is against the idea of our girls having red hair! I don't see what's so wrong with it though.
In the morning, I'll deliver the rest of the letters I have to mail and then go to the butcher to get some lamb.
