Time had passed, giving Gelvira the opportunity to both calm down and sober up, yet her judgement still remained clouded. That is because she decided to leave Faron's hut and venture back toward the Lodge, but she was far from willing to make amends with Ljota. In fact, upon arrival, she seemed to do nothing but worsen the situation as she spoke rudely to Tree-Walker, arguably using that as ample ammunition to annoy Ljota further. The others had been occupied with Leohna's missing pet, and so many ventured out to assist her with retrieving it, but Gelvira and Ljota remained at the Lodge to continue their argument...
((Role-Play taken from the 7th February 2020, carrying on from Part One))
Ljota takes a slow breath, then whirls on Gelvira. "What is wrong with you?"
Gelvira huffs, shaking her head; ''Nothing.''
Ljota watches the other two leave, then glowers down at Gelvira. "So why are you acting like this?"
Gelvira also had her gaze toward the doorway, watching them both leave, before looking back up at Ljota; ''Acting like what? I've only given my opinion, and /you/ don't like it, so.. What exactly have I done wrong here?'' Her tone was rather bitter, and Alaric had darted into the main hall to avoid it, but it was targeted entirely at Ljota.
Ljota glances after Alaric, then back. "You're acting like a child. I don't mind if you disagree with me, but... I don't want to fight with you, either. You're just being cruel."
Gelvira couldn't help but laugh in response to her, yet it seemed to fuel her more at this point; ''/I'm/ acting like a child? Am I not being the only one that's reasonable?'' She'd pause, simply to catch breathe, before she'd continue; ''Who have I been cruel to, hm? You? I disagreed with you, and now I'm cruel? If that's the case, Ljota, you need a backbone.''
Ljota comes closer to her, almost seething. Oddly enough, her speech is clearer than usual. "I just wanted to drop it, but you decided to crawl back here and start lobbing insults. We... We can't afford to be at each others' throats. You're not yourself."
Gelvira | Despite the height difference, Gelvira didn't appear to back away, which was clearly not an attribute of hers as she usually avoided conflict like this; ''I insulted you once. I said you need a backbone, which technically, isn't false.'' She'd outstretch a hand to prod at her, yet she'd not actually touch her; ''/You/ called me a child, so /you/ lobbed insults first.''
Ljota doesn't show quite the same restraint; she snarls as she tries to seize Gelvira's prodding arm in her hand. "Don't pretend you weren't being cruel before that. I didn't like how you were talking to me *or* Tree-Walker."
Gelvira hadn't retracted her arm that quickly, and so would've been taken into Ljota's grip. She'd hiss, using her free-hand to grasp Ljota's arm that had held of hers, narrowing her eyes even further; ''I was simply answering Tree-Walker's questions. It's nice, you're defending her, but there was nothing to defend her for'' She'd wrinkle her nose, a clear expression of disgust formulating on her features.
Ljota has a tight enough grip, but she isn't all that strong and might be resisted without too much difficulty. Even so, she'd attempt to grab Gelvira's other arm in her free hand and shove her toward the wall. "I don't believe you."
Gelvira didn't have much experience when it came to be in contact with anyone so violently before, and so, she would've been pressed against the wall without any resistance. The difference of build between them both would have also contributed, most likely. Gelvira wouldn't have accepted it entirely, as her expression clearly showed, and she'd move about slightly to attempt to remove, or at least change, the grip that Ljota had over her; ''You can't now decide you want to be protective when you're usually mute.''
Ljota loses her grip on the first arm and growls, tightening her grip on the other. "I... don't care," she manages a bit lamely, perhaps losing just a bit of her edge now. "I don't even want to fight you."
Gelvira perhaps used this to her own advantage, and even though she agreed with her in theory - Gelvira had no intention or desire to fight with Ljota, in practice she'd simply see an opportunity. With the arm that was now free, she'd push at Ljota's shoulders (or as close as she could get), hoping that her grip would move from her entirely; ''Get off me, then.''
Ljota grunts as she's forced away. She looks close to starting in on the woman again, but she hesitates. "...Will you stop being a miserable child if I do?"
Gelvira paused for a moment, contemplating the offer, before nodding; ''Fine.''
...............
Neither Gelvira nor Ljota had wished to fight, or get to the stage where they both believed violence was necessary, and so it was clear afterward that there was instant regret from both parties. In the aftermath, they reconciled and Gelvira /finally/ revealed to Ljota why she acted out of line. The Altercation between Bear and Sculptor was significant, yet luckily brief.
