Entry 14: Splendor

I have just returned home from an evening spent in Bree, and I can genuinely say that it was one of the most enjoyable nights I've had there! I went to town to meet with a seamstress and had no intention of stopping in the Inn, but I am truly so glad that I decided to. And to think that it was a spur of the moment decision! I finished my business with the seamstress and stepped into the Pony, and it was far busier than I have seen it in quite some time. Lately, it has been so quiet.

Blid and Maddoct were there and I was so happy to see them. I also met another dwarf, a friend of theirs, named Byrge. He seemed so shy and nervous, and he didn't seem to speak very well at all. I fear that I was overbearing, for I know that I am very overbearing in general. I hope so much that I did not spook him. I also saw Miss Taite and I waved to her, but I do not think she saw me. She was in conversation with a rather large man, and I certainly did not want to interrupt that.

As much as I love my dwarven friends, I must admit that the highlight was meeting Israa and her friend. It sounds so terrible when I write it down and see it on parchment, but it is true! The immense relief and joy I felt when meeting someone who looked like me and sounded like me is indescribable. I hope we meet again, I hope we become the very best of friends. I invited both of them to the wedding, even though we only met that night. They must come, they simply must. It would make me the happiest person in the world!

Invitations need to be written and sent out soon, especially since I know my dwarven friends are planning to leave come Spring. I do not want them to push back their trip to come to the wedding.

I haven't felt so excited and joyous in ages!
