A woodside chat

At the field near one of their homes, the two women met. They were not rivals - never once, friends - perhaps. Even though the talk was straining on them both, Woad still didn't believe herself to be a foe of the other woman - never wished to be one. Even as she said a word she regretted uttering, as they soon were to part, guilt and worry wracked her mind as she looked at the taller woman. She would have to go soon, but return sooner rather than later. Something with her friend was not quite right.
