Adriwyn shrank in on herself a little, and sighed. 'Not really expecting ever to have love, anyway. Not outside my dreams, anyway.'
Haeneth nodded. She picked more out of her stash than nuts, berries, and cider. Some sinewy dried deer was revealed. "I fell in love very early. Too early. He was there and gone within a year."
Adriwyn nodded slowly, pondering, then sighed. 'Be easier to be... well, maybe not. But there's only so much fun in a broken heart at best, I suppose.'
