Memories came to Dru's head as she climbed the hill to the ruins where she had been sitting not too long ago. Such a lovely view it held. She could see essentially all of Bree from there, and beyond.
She smiled. This was likely the one place for her which only held decent memories.
Well. Except for that one time where Dav cornered her there, before she even truly knew him. He seemed to have a habit of finding her even when she didn't wish to be found.
As she stepped toward the edge of the boulder, a small crate of sorts caught her eye. She raised a brow and tilted her head curiously, as it hadn't been there before.
Her arm nudged it open easily enough, and what she saw within caused her to fall back on her rear-end in shock.
A cloak. A cloak with her family's crest embroidered across it. She had forgotten. Forgotten entirely.
Tears filled her eyes as her hand covered her mouth. "I must be imagining this..." She inched forward, looking again. A small note was laying between the folds of fabric, which she was able to lift after a few attempts.
"I had this made. Do not forget who you truly are."
It bore no signature, but it didn't need to. She knew from who this gift came.
She lifted the cloak in her arms, buried her face in it and wept quietly.
The small crests of her family name caught her tears. The tears of memories of love, family, pain...so much more.
He remembered her family crest when she, herself, had forgotten...
