Entry 7: Kiss and Tell

- written in Haradrim -

I've retired back to my home for the evening, after bidding Leoffrith farewell earlier. We sat and talked by the fountain for a while, as we had done the first night we met. It was nice to be able to have a chat without practicing getting in the way. My arms aren't as sore anymore now that I've been practicing more and since I've gotten better. It's a really quiet night, but the dog keeps barking at something. I've poked my head out a few times, but I can't see anything.

He kissed me tonight, right and proper. In the middle of the square too, where anyone could just walk by and see. I felt dizzy after, but I think he was more flustered than I was. That seems par for the course anyway, I always manage to make him flustered. I teased about all of the girls that are vying to be his friends, but he seems intent on believing that there are no girls trying to be his friend! I wish I could name them because I bet I'd run out of fingers before I got finished. I find it really amusing, I truly do.

I didn't necessarily set out to find myself in this spot. I wanted to learn archery, and I left a book by where he was sitting one day, and he just happened to ask what it was about. It's hard to imagine that everything just snowballed from there. Once or twice I've found myself yearning for the life I had in Gondor. It was far from perfect, but my friends are there. I do hope, one day, that I'll be able to go back to visit.
