I have been practicing more with the bow I bought. I think I'm getting really good, it seemed to come to me very naturally. I never took to the sword very much, though I always carried one when I was traveling. I'm quite thankful that I never needed to use it because I do not think I would've known what to do. Luck must have played a big role in that. I'm glad to finally have picked up something that I can do. Spears and javelins are just completely lost on me.
Leoffrith has been very helpful. He has been helping a lot and went with me to the bowyer so I could point out what I wanted. He knew more about it than I did, and I didn't want to get something wrong. But the one I ended up getting is really nice, and it's quite pretty. My thoughts have strayed to him when we are not practicing together, and I am not sure of where I have landed myself. Certainly we are friends, but he got so very flustered when I teased him about his jealousy of a man I hadn't even met yet! It was very amusing.
We'll get together to practice again soon, I am sure. But I do hope we can get together to just chat and talk, like the first time we'd met. I think I prefer those kinds of evenings over practicing, but I think that goes for anyone practicing any sort of thing.
