Diary entry #1

Upon hearing the news of my Son and the hand of his love being given to him by Lord Anglachelm, I have deemed it is now time to journey to Imladris and meet this Lady whom has captured my Son's heart so completely.

Before setting out from Lindon I was sure to write a letter to my Son informing him I was arriving in the near future.. that way at least he can ensure he is around when I arrive as I know his duties may take him elsewhere at short notice.

A brief stop at Duillond revealed a surprising encounter with Lord Tindir and his beloved Eovina who as it transpires is the Mother of my sons great love Amorith. It was good to meet this Lord Tindir of whom my Son holds in very high regard, they have stood side by side in battle on more than one occasion. Lady Eovina was a delight and radiated a rare beauty, while the encounter was all to brief it was welcome all the same.

While travelling I mused.. I am puzzled at times by the lack of honour and respect given to those older in these times.. some so it seems, will assume to much.. and be perhaps far to familiar with those whom they do not know.. perhaps that is the way of things now.. I find it however.. far to false..

...

Upon arriving in Imladris I sought an old friend.. Lord Veryacano.. it has been far to long since we have spoken.. greeting him in the Halls of Fire I was pleased to meet this Noldor of Noldor's, recounting a few old memories we were slowly joined by other Eldar none of whom I knew..

A Lady named Turuviel was kind enough to play a tune as we spoke.. sharing with one an another and passing on wisdom to those that sought it..

It was not long before two very confident ladies engaged each other in veiled hostility, clearly a matter from previous meetings was unresolved.. it was with slight amusement but also some dismay at the lack of respect shown to one another even if they viewed each other at that time as rivals of some kind.

It also became apparent my Son is well liked by those who know him.. this filled me with pride although of that I kept to myself.. a lady named Isoldis was clearly very pleased to know him.. his wisdom and knowledge he had been sharing with her and had given her much to be thankful of.. her enthusiasm was at times a little overwhelming but clearly genuine although I did query the intentions of her apparent delight in Earinlin but it would seem it is of a pure nature.

Tomorrow I shall meet Lady Amorith, I now know she is aware of my arrival and of my intentions to meet her alone, while I know my Son will not have given his heart lightly I will see this Lady for myself.. and make my own judgement..
