We have arrived in Buckland, a village of Bree-Hobbits, I'm told. The travel here was uneventful and we've settled down.
A young Hobbit ventured into the Old Forest, there is claim that she has been cursed or charmed. The folklore about this forest appears to make their imaginations run wild, but I'll not question it.
We've been asked to head into the forest and find an old the oldest willow that grows there, told that its bark will heal what ails the young Hobbit. I wasn't given a name or species. Whether its some old wives' tale or something else, I'll be gathering some samples from this tree once it's found.

Fiontann brought two other women with him, the young Catherynne and a woman that goes by the name Carmillia. Neither I know very well, but hopefully I'll find time spend with them during this trip. They seem pleasant. I've not had much time to speak with Cedwyn for that matter, or Fiontann.
I think I've made progress with Ruevir, but it's a slow one. She was asked to come along with us, not only as my possible apprentice, but so I can continue to fix her, as was promised.
I may have made a mistake in following Doc's advice and asking Jackilyn along. Despite my attempts to follow notes regarding courtship, she's taken a mood and it's become hard to follow her thought and logic.
Ruevir has been agitating and insulting towards Jackilyn and it appears that she takes it to heart. The trip has barely begun and I already find myself between a hammer and an anvil.
I'll use the night to study, while both of them sleep and I can get some peace.
