Event details:

Usually lasting for two hours to the rest of the night, the Bree Saturday Supper is a gathering of the people of Bree-Town and those that are currently residing there, where people can enjoy a Hobbit-themed Supper made by local hobbits of Bree-land! Located in the famous Mead Hall near the Pony, all are welcome that currently live or are visiting Bree-Town! Expect light chat/gossiping, heavy drinking, much music and dance, many a pie and meal, definitely a poem, ever so often a story, always the latest in Bree-Town news and gossip, and sometimes a few surprises.

We are also housing the Birthday Party of Gustine Winkle at this week's Saturday Supper! So please come along to enjoy a Hobbit-styled Birthday Party that only Bree can offer!

Bring a riddle, a song, a poem or a story if you like, it is always grand if yer get involved! Just have a chat with the hobbit orchestrating things near the bar during the event, and he or she will find a good time for you ta contribute to the gatherin'. Should the night be busy, it may have to wait until next time, though!

OOC details:

Bree Saturday Supper is an In-Character roleplaying event aiming to promote roleplay for the folk in Bree-town, and most importantly, to give an event that those in time zones that are located closer to Server Time to go to. Most characters are welcome, but the most common folk that would be allowed are Men, Hobbits, and some Dwarves. Elves are very rarely seen travelling through Bree-town, since they travel around it on their way to the Docks in the West.

Be in-character: Keep player interactions (emotes/chat) and entertainment in-character, basically by talking about things that the hobbits and Bree-folk would normally talk about. Don't discuss real-life, modern-day things, game mechanics, etc. Avoid using forced emotes, setting off fireworks inside, bringing pets that wouldn't belong in an inn, throwing 3000 snowballs, etc.

Be active and engage with other folk. It is better to participate and be part of the community than to stand around and wait for others to come up to you. (However, it is perfectly fine to come observe the event the first few times if you are uncomfortable!)

Avoid multi-boxing with lots of alts. Yes, everybody knows that people love to have their multi-musician bands that produce good music and loud sounds. However, when the small mess hall is full of similarly clothed robots that don't respond to others when asked to, it can get really creepy and the immersion we are looking to provide is ruined!

Entertainers are always welcome! Whether they are musicians, or storytellers! Just sign up by sending a tell to the hobbit hosting the event, which will normally be myself (Lambwise). You can also contact others that help out like Gustine or Stevvy. We absolutely love solo minstrels/musicians. Solo music players are usually better suited to the size of the room and the environment we are going for. Also note that we are always welcome to other forms of entertainment: Poems, riddles, stories, The latest news around Bree-land... all of it is appreciated! If you wish to play music, it will be grand if you can aim for a more folksy hobbity vibe, since this is hosted by hobbits and such! With waltzes, jigs, reels, hornpipes and such are good music to go off of! But we are always welcome to other music being played by the Dwarves that go through Bree-town, and also the Men of Bree-town as well! Just make sure to try and keep it as close to lore-friendly as you can get!

Gossip and News is always welcome! This can bring life to the event, and roleplaying to Bree-town/Bree-land! Just remember to keep things in-character. Related to events: We generally don't advertise events on other servers, events not of Bree-folk/partly Shire interest, events not of Bree-folk/Hobbit interest, events not held in Bree/Bree-town/Shire, or events not done via roleplaying.

I know this probably is a long list of rules to some of you, but do not worry! The people of Bree-town and Hobbits in general are a friendly sort, and we are always eager to welcome new faces to the Mead Hall! Hope to see yer there!
