I've not seen miss Sol since that evening.

The cottage has been bought. I'll speak with mister Toremund and mister Zeylheim about fixing the floors, walls and ceiling. Both of them have more experience than me in this sort of work. The floors will have to be sturdy and, by mister Bíld's idea, a cellar must be dug and prepared.
There are questions that linger about Rue and I've shared what little I got out of them the other night. With luck, mister Bíld might be able to see something I'm unable to. He's been good at doing that.
His brother came by, asked a few odd questions. I answered honestly and ensured that mister Bíld was doing well for himself.
The new cook has started her work. A good meal was prepared both for breakfast and lunch, enough leftovers to last until the evening. While I forgot to eat the oats offered in the morning, I managed the later meal. Her cooking is acceptable.
* Speak to the cook about smaller portion sizes
* Speak to the cook about ingredients needed for next week
* Go over the finances
* Examine the new cottage, move the surgeon tables.

She's unhappy.
It hasn't been long, but I'm starting to have doubts.
She wanted a game of flirtation, from what I understood. A game of words and show of care, jests and laughs. That's at least what I've observed in the past with others. I didn't get it. I only looked at the symptoms, I didn't see or hear anything else.
She wanted a show of affection but I pulled away. Told me it was alright, because she knew I didn't care for it in that moment. She understands but it's not what she desires.
I begin feeling like I made a mistake. That I've promised something to her that I cannot keep. I still wonder why she chose to engage in this to begin with.
Pity?
