A Not So Homely Home

A small parcel, bound firmly in brown parchment. Swiftly jogging down the streets, he goes, holding it carefully between two hands while the rest of the deliveries swing from a satchel wound about his narrow, immature shoulder. A hobbit lady with a friendly smile had given him the most beautiful coin he had ever seen in his life. urging him to deliver the parcel as swiftly and delicately as he could.

What is so important within the parcel, you ask? Simply a pair of freshly knitted mittens in the loveliest Shire-wool. They are a colourwork of brilliant hues - brown, red and specks of green.

And they are now en route to their new owner: Derosyn.

"Dear Derosyn

Now, I know the height of Yule feasts and the like has passed, but I nevertheless wished to gift you these mittens I have knitted. I took my time, not so mess up as I am but a novice, and so suddenly I found myself the the midst of midwinter.

I imagine you suffer a little during winter, as the weather is foul and bitter cold, and you've little time to disappear into your gardening.  So - perhaps this may perk you up?

Between knitting, I have been reading plenty, but my home feels much less homely these days, with all the ongoing issues. These, I have told prior, and will not burden you with once more. What I simply wished to do, was appeal to your sense of adventure, and remind you that I am always ready for a walk around Staddle, even if it is freezing terribly... If you so, promise me a mug of tea.

See you soon at the tavern,

Love, Wisterhya Rosethorn x"
