Letter to Laendra Sparrow
In a fire-lit nook sits Wisterhya, her hair tightly bound away from her face, drenched in candlelight. Her bag has been packed for the return home after a long day of writing and reading. However, before she may leave, she is overtaken by an eagerness to write one last page addressing lady Laendra Sparrow.
"Dear Laendra,
I'm writing to you, with a gnawing hunger, as the hour is nearing teatime - so forgive my rushed manners and possible wrong-doings regarding grammatical correctness.
I simply wished to address my feelings of thanks. I quite enjoyed our browse of Lalia's shop a few days prior, and I am beyond relieved that you did not need to welcome your husband home in those nasty rags I saw you in that afternoon.
Do you by any chance read, Laendra? I read much, as you perhaps have guessed, for I know you're quite the people-guesser. In-fact, I wish to announce to you, that I am writing a book. Had you guessed that, love? I doubt it. for I haven't worked on the tale for many months now, and I only just began reading through the manuscript as of three days prior to the time I am writing this.
The story in question is about a hobbit matriarch, who's long passed away, but still watches her family from beyond the grave. The unthinkable happens, and the youngest daughter is orphaned, and so the matriarch must come back to life to raise the girl.
Now, I can smell tea is almost ready, all the way from the Rosethorn estate, so I best head home promptly.
I hope to see you again, dear Laendra, for you are such darling company, and I am eager to hear more of your husband's return and plans for the future.
Your friend,
Wisterhya Rosethorn x"
