Couple of days later I was again returning to the island to take on my duties. There was one very important task that awaited me and the others. I remember every single thing they told me about it. And so I left Velam behind as well as Dol Amroth and came ashore on our island just a few hours later. I went straight towards the hall. Then I spotted her standing there. Nyraewyn has come to the meeting as well and I was really glad to see her. I was a bit lost in my thoughts but we just continued walking towards the hall together and then joined the meeting. All of the healers and officers were already present along with Lord Maxem. And so it began. We talked for hours about the plague and all possible ways we had. Both about curing and poisoning. I had hope in me. I really wanted to help people of that village. They deserved to live and that was what mattered to me the most that time. And yet again I was lost in my thoughts. "You will be the head of the main gate group, Captain Nethillon" - I heard then the words of Lord Maxem that brought me back from the depths of my mind. I then said yes and by that way got my new task. They discussed the equipment and safety matters for a long while after that, before moving to the plan. "After we will surround the village we will form a small group to get inside. I want you to lead that small group Captain Nethillon. But I must warn you first. If one of you gets sick while you are inside, we have to seal the gates. This warning is all of our healers, are you ready to take this risk ?" - Lord Maxem then spoke again and looked at my direction. I was ready. I was needed there no matter what. And I knew that I have to return to fulfill yet another important task. As they discuissed another things I started to prepare myself mentally. "Lord Maxem, I would ask your permission to go through fully safety measurements with group that Captain Nethillon leads." - I heard then the familiar voice and then freeze for a moment. Why Nyraewyn? Why you of all people? I kept asking these questions in my mind. I was worried for her. I promised someone that I will keep her safe multiple times. I couldn't keep her away from that task if my commander will accept. She is a very skilled healer and her help would be a great thing to the soldiers and villagers. Yet I thought that decision was not mine to make. I was wrong. "What do you suggest Captain Nethillon?" - I heard Lord Maxem's question. I took a deep breath, reconsidering all of the options and pros and cons of that decision before speaking again. I looked at Nyraewyn before turning again to face Lord Maxem. "As much as I would hate risking the life of Miss Nyraewyn I need to agree with Master Lanfeld, she would be a great help to us." - I then said with a heavy feeling on my heart. They continued the discussion about the operation itself but my thoughts were focused on the decision I just made. The meeting ended soon enough. I glanced for a last time at Nyraewyn then took my helm back on before going outside again.
