Background
The Tale Of From The Shire To Lyndelby
The kinship began with a simple idea shared around a well-stocked table in the Shire: that there must be more Hobbit-folk scattered across Middle-earth than anyone knew. Tales had reached the ears of adventurous Hobbits about a distant village called Lyndelby, where folk much like themselves lived beside the Great River.
Curious minds soon became eager feet. A small company of Hobbits set out to see these far-off cousins for themselves. What began as a single journey became many. Along the roads they found friendship, shared meals, and discovered that no matter how far they travelled, the warmth of Hobbit hospitality could always be found.
In time, these travellers formed a kinship dedicated to preserving that spirit of fellowship. They named themselves From The Shire To Lindelby, honouring both the homeland they loved and the distant village that inspired their adventures.
Today the kinship welcomes all Hobbits who enjoy good company, honest friendship, and the occasional journey beyond the garden gate.
