Hmmmm ... two figures ... definitely human ... not Lossoth for sure ... passing the gates of the encampment with little more than a nod between them and the Lossoth lookouts ... well known and trusted it seemed ...
Interesting!
Elveaner watched quietly from the bank outside the main hut trying to read the pair ... and yes, somehow they seemed a pair or a team despite a well crafted (in his opinion) casual look about them and the progress they made into the camp.
He mused ... Traders? .. here?, unlikely, adventurers or explorers? .. reasonably equipped so possibly, Rangers? .. not totally out of the question but somehow er not quite. Elveaner walked down the slope and called out in the common tongue 'Hello there' .. he waved and approached the pair.
Now Elveaner was well wrapped up in Lossoth garb yet they recognised him at once as one of the Eldar. There was a genuine show of surprise from one of them, however it was not the usual surprise (and sometimes a little wonder) that men often displayed at merely seeing an 'Elf', it seemed to be more around the fact of seeing one here in Pynti-Peldot.
Even more interesting!
Elveaner watched closely as they recovered their composure and introductions made.. Aeradin Greymare and Killandra Graymare... come up from Bree apparently.. a long trip... the name stirred a distant memory only .. a town at a crossing point on the Greenway? Men and halflings? oh Hobbits, yes that was a more polite term. Hmmm.... sharing a name what was the tradition of men again? husband and wife was it ? .. no it didn't seem right they seemed more like old friends ... ah! brother and sister, yes that was it.
The pair were clearly very astute and capable but tried to give the impression otherwise, there was a lot more to them than their playful surface banter would have one believe and Elveaner wanted to find out what. To this end he decided he would be open and frank about himself and why he was here if they did the same.. meet them in the middle as it were, with mutual respect.
