Our past has not been something that either of us would like to remember, but I should like to start this letter off by saying that I express my sorrows for your wife's ill fate greatly. I'm sure she will be missed and not be forgotten about.
On a further note, the reason why I am writing to thee is to state that I will be making my way to Lorien to settle down, a sort of retirement of the work I had been doing for many a'age. It came to mind that I had first met thee within Lorien, and I would like if it we both could arrange to meet at some point over the next week or so for discussions of late and past fortunes.
