The Lost Legends of Rhones, Warden of the High Kings

FOREWARD

Whilst I remain aware of the skepticism many of my peers display as to the validity of including some of the tales told herein, extensive study has brought me to the conclusion that they deserve a place here. It is true a student of history can never be wholly sure of the truth, even though we Eldar might still have individuals extant to tell of them. However as to the elleth Rhones, the one named Warden of the High Kings, there are some things of which I am certain. 

Firstly, she was not lost to the Nirnaeth Arnoidiad, nor the War of Wrath as some of my fellows have stipulated. Accounts of her did become scarse at this time, but I would suggest that the records of her name were never particularly stringent and, being of the Exiled Noldor, we can surmise that she went under many names and titles during her life. 

Secondly, I put forward that she did not break her oath of fealty, as was claimed by Loremaster Nophen. As unlikely as it may appear, I am confident in myself when I say that she served each High King we have known, even King Turgon though the City of Gondolin may have been closed. I will explain my methods within, but I ask only an open mind to these suggestions.
