What is a voice?

What is a voice?

To some, a voice is their means of talking about themselves, making themselves seem more formidable, or bragging about their achievements. They interrupt others for their voice is the most important, and should be heard above all else. They don’t care for the people around them, only themselves.

Others might use their voice to sing or joke, to bring merriment to others. Perhaps they do talk too much, but it is always with good purpose, and many are glad to hear it. They bring relief to a troubled mind, or laughter to a saddened heart. They act like a beacon for all the lost souls in the darkness, leading them to the light with their voice.

Some people shout and yell, giving orders or insulting others. Perhaps one of the worst uses of a voice, for all it does is bring others down, dragging them into the pit of anger and depression that the speaker inhabits. Why should others be happy if they can’t be? Some use their voice to express ideas, some use it to complain about others. Some folk use their voice to think aloud, or perhaps to make friends. People cry, they cheer, they despair, and they give compliments with their voices.

Arenborn Kolten would trade anything in the world for a chance to use his voice but once more. To tell his wife he loved her, and she was the most beautiful person he had ever met

A voice is taken for granted.
