Tonight I decided to join a music festival hosted by my own house, an event open for everyone that loves the art of music.
I decided to play a song I wrote myself yesterday. Is a dark song, with much energy.. It's called The dark rider.. Is about everything I fear in this world.. I thought maybe I should play a happy, cheerful tune. But rumors said that others would do that.. So I would stick to my song..
It was a lovely night. Many attended to our Halls in Dullond... And there where also people from Bree and dwarfs.. It was quite unusual to see those folks.. But ohhh... they played so lovely.. There was especially a lady called Mae that played the most wonderful tones ever. And same did a man called Mason, he presented a soothing ballade that I still remember this day. My friend Lhasbelin were present too, she played beautifully on her harp..
I was very nervous when my named where announced and I presented the song.. I do not remember much.. So many eyes on me, and I felt extremely nervous. My song required skills to play the tones in a haste.. And the melody had to fit in with the dark, fast tones..
I was very focused and everything I could concentrate on was my music, I did not notice everyone around me then..
I was so relieved when I was done, atleast I dared, and that itself was a victory for me..
The evening went on and many contestants where present, a dwarf duo played a song from their own lands..And many others played too.. And when Anglachelm was about to announce the winner. My heart stood still...The audience had voted for their favorites, and the prize was a lovely cloak and some flowers..
And when he announced the winner, I nearly fainted.. Did he say my name?? Could not be.. Did my song.. The dark rider win?? Ohh.. It did.. Lady Angharat gave me the prize and nice words.. And I was supposed to play the winnersong again.. I was so nervous and I think I played a bit wrong too.. But it did not matter.. Everyone smiled and I was so happy!!!! I am so proud of the event. And Lady Angharat were a great host along with Vanimar. I think I will celebrate tonight..
