Chrysanthe was sitting at her desk, feather pin at hand, her fingers dragged the thick black ink along the page to check a box here and then and then to add the numbers. She look beside her at the bag of gold, a sigh leaving her chapped lips as the amounts of coin and numbers in black ink were not the same. Someone was stealing the gold from the inn. She would have to store it better. Goldy walked in with some of the laundry for the day and gave the younger fire haired hobbit a smile. "Morning Miss Chrysanthemum!" She whistled a tune as she walked past and into the rooms. She was most likely changing the bedding again. If she scrubbed the sheets as hard as she scrubbed Chrissy's hair, the sheets would need replacing soon.
Chrissy sighed again and packed up the gold and her log book. "Gold, if anyone needs a room give 'em a key and log 'em in the new book." A pale hand moves to push back some of the longer red strands as sea blue eyes scan the room. "I'm going to go over to the Pony and see about the next food delivery this way." Her feet drag along the floor a bit as she walks out. She opens the tall door and jumps to see someone on the other side. "Oh sorry, didn't see ya there!" The man nods and looks around his hood drawn. "Is there somewhere we can talk?" Chrissy furrows her brows for a second. This one, one she trusts, has never acted this oddly. "Aye, follow me." She walks past him and down the path to the road, the foot fall and clinking of armour behind her telling her that the man was following. She continues to walk in silence, her red hair bouncing a bit. She stops at a house and lets the man pass and enter. "If you are coming to me and in full armour I can only guess it is something that you would do if you did not carry an oath to touch not a single weapon in harm against someone." The man gives her a slight nod. "I have picked up weapons before but I would prefer not too. There is someone trying to send all of those who came from Gondor, back to Gondor to be used a flesh walls to protect the nobles from fighting. No prices but just word that flesh is needed that can be thrown away once spears and arrows hit it."
Chrissy raises a red brow shallowly, "Are you not a noble?" The man sneers and grumbles. "In blood and on paper but it matters not as I'm here and not in my old home. My lover is in trouble as well. This man is stirring trouble and has already sliced into my lovers leg over a petty spat. If he is willing to try and drag two nobles back, no Gondorian is safe here." Blue eyes widen a bit, and pale lips from a small 'o' of surprise. "What are you wanting me to do then?" The man sighs, seem to try to calm himself. "Protect the Gondorians of this area as best you can and stop this man in anyway you have too." Chrysanthe nods. "Alright." She pauses in thought. "You are a cunning fox in your ways and I know I am not the only person you have visited with this......you keep yourself clean by letting others kill for you, you are a good man but this gatherer of sorts has not understanding of what he faces against you, or your lover." She chuckles.
A soft snort of amusement comes from the man. "Nobles are corrupt, we have our ways of getting things done that even the public eye does not know about, even with all of their rumors. No, people go missing and the officials bat not even a lash, there is a reason for this. Wars between families have been waged while all the common people see is a few glasses of wine shared and a few kissed cheeks. The body count is high and I'm am not above adding to it."
Chrysanthe nods. "Alright, let us hope he is ran out as I would not wish to kill a man unless needed. I am sure the watch is already on my trail for some of the bodies laying around. Thieves, looters and bad men or not the watch still knows, I am sure." She sighs and opens the door. "I will come to check on you, your lover, and your child later. Do try to stay safe." The red head walks out, the door closing behind her as she head to her inn again. She would need some gear before she went into town.
