Dear notebook
The alluring golden rays of the morning sun slowly woke me up while the light was playing around and created it's own color palette.
It's soothing to look upon such noble stainless graze while the heart fills with such an honor to be a mere spectator of such grandiose play.
The easeful sound of bird song fills the air as i can do is to listen.
I had received news from Bill and Toby.
They were letting me know they were on their way back.
It was decided i was going to meet them back at the farmstead in few days from now so i better start packing and clear the camp.
*images from the last few days was quickly floating by like fragments with it's unique form and shape*
One of the reflections was from the exercise yesterday and how pleased she felt when she found the balance when she shifted position without causing more strain to the shoulder.
Just allowing the newly found strength ,instinct and knowledge guide her movement she made a swift , smooth strike and cut the head of the doll.
Another recollection was when she was standing near the waterfall not far from the camp allowing her a respite when a well known voice reached her ears.
-So i have heard yer back in town .. oy no daggers do ye hear
She recall how she smiled and slowly turned around to look upon a elderly well built tall man with messy brown hair with silver highlights.
He was dressed in greyish tattered working clothes
- So i am for the time being and i promise no daggers..
- Heaven knows what else you got hiding girly, still single huh?
His deep blue eyes had a lighthearted glint when he looked at her.
All she could to was to laugh
-Some things sure never change ...I am sure the girls at the tavern fancy lines like that.
- Aye they love it .
He grinned widely rather proud of himself
- Ah darn shame ye once gave away yer heart missy
They both smiled at each other while they turned their attention to the waterfall.
- it's been to long my friend ,what brings you here..?
- Oy not much been told yer here to finish yer uncles trades .. good for ye
Keithia was slowly shaking her head
- It sure is difficult to keep any information away from you my friend.
- Aye ye bet missy.
The tall man next to her was a former soldier.
They met at the battlefield when he was just a young sprout.
He became a good friend a weapon brother from the very first day so it was with sadness when his group was transferred to another region.
Since he was just a child he had been fascinated by tales of her kind so he made an oath to keep the knowledge deep inside his heart.
Few years later she received the gloomy news from the border.
He was on patrol with some men as they had gone missing and no one knew if they had fallen in battle or been captured.
They had sent out some men to search for them but they came back empty handed.
She remember the easement and happiness when she received his letter several years later letting her know he was alive and well and had bought himself a piece of land in the Southern Bree fields when he lost his arm in battle.
He and the men had been captured but had managed to escape all because of lack of attention since the enemies had been forced rearrange the troops in haste.
-I highly doubt this is a social visit ,come let us return to the camp and have something to eat
He nodded while be brought up some folded notes from his pocket and gave it to her with a humorless glint in his deep blue eyes.
My dearest friend if i could remain here all day in the bedroll ...
*she looked upon the the pile of notes next to her with a sleepy glint in her eyes before she reached out and touched the stained worn string that was holding it together *
