The sun was getting ready to set when Fiontann reached the old Barracks, he stood on the road next to it and turned his head to look at the burnt building, now it was only a pile of rubble and dust. He looked at it for a moment unxpresed, not holding any grudges towards those who burned it, not getting angry, nothing, he just looked at it and then went on his way and turned right, heading towards the place that the Watchman they abducted was kept.
He saw Aeirillen standing outside and chose to not bother her, he only nodded once only to get a nod as a reply and went inside, in the next room the man was tied on a chair and a plate with food was next to it. The bandage on his leg showed that the others took care of him and removed the arrow that Phaewyn had hit him with during the fight. Fion walked around the man once, looking at him, he was sitting with a handkerchief around his mouth to gag him so that he wouldn't start shouting. Fion took another chair and sat in front of him.
-I will remove this now but please, do not start shouting, no one will hear you and you will only manage to anger me.
The man remmained unxpressed when he heard Fiotann's words, he kept his gaze on the door, showing that he was indifferent to what was happening and Fiontann removed the handkerchief, letting the man breath. Once he caught his breaths he looked up at Fion and spoke with a voice full of contempt.
-It is you then, sellsword!
-I am a sellsword /no more/, you should have know, but well, you are the one who sold himself, so how you would know...
The man didn't answer to that, he only scoffed, showing his blood teeth and sat back, trying to make himself comfortable on the chair, despite being tied.
-Who are those men that you met with?
-I have only seen them once or twice beforeyour folk took me, so I cannot answer that question, why don't you go and ask them? Oh I forgot! They aren't like those bandits that you brag that you fought with, these are another breed!
-Whom I have fought and whom I haven't let /me/ know better, no one asked your opinion about what I have done or not, I only asked you about those ones. So speak up.
-I have nothing to tell you because I know nothing, but even if I knew I wouldn't say anything to one like you, to a sellsword, walking towards where the coins sound...
The tone of his voice angered Fiontann and he punched him in the face with his right fist, the man smiled and spat some blood on the floor.
-Oh what? You're sensitive now?
-I know whom I am, so you cannot play with it and I have /never/ betrayed anyone, never! Unlike you!, so speak up! Why were you meeting that hermit woman in Combe?
The man tried to hide his surprise unsuccessfully, making Fion smirk and grab him by the collar of his fancy shirt.
-Yes, we know about her, we also know that one of them was visiting her, before or after you. Now speak up before I start hiting you!
-I was visiting her because her charms can't be measured, if you were a man you'd know!
The man's words were felt as if they hit Fion in the face and he got angry, he punched the man twice, once in the face and another in the stomach with his right hand and tightened his grip around the collar, violently pulling him closer and lifting the chair on its front legs.
-Don't make me return to my sellsword ways, speak up and I may let you go.
-You may let me go... I don't care what you will dowith me, whatever you do wil be nothing to what is coming!
-What is coming?
Fion's voice came out loudly and angry and his left hand moved up to the man's neck and tightened around it.
-Speak!
The man laughed between the coughs from FIontann's stranging him and kept his gaze on him.
-You will see soon!
-What were you planning with that woman? Speak!
The man wouldn't reply and Fiontann punched him in the stomach with his right hand repeatedly. In the end the chair broke and he fell on the floor, coughing blood, that didn't stop Fion as he kicked him a few times before stopping to catch his breath.
-You better change your mind and start talking, I will be back!
And left the house.
