Musings about Others

Today in the Pony I came across Seaver. He was lounging around, leaning against one of the pillars, just like the hooded men do. I tried to engage him in conversation, but he didn't seem much inclined to talk, mentioned something about having a lot on his mind. Not wishing to intrude upon his thoughts and seeing Thryll and Bearn enter, I informed him that Cymaru had the cloak I made for him in her care and took my leave to greet Thryll and Bearn. We ordered drinks and Thryll told me they would be going on a camping trip together. I hope they have fun. I expect Bearn will be very knowledgable in these things, making up for Thryll's lack of experience. I wonder if I would enjoy camping. I've never been camping myself, never had the time for it. Perhaps one day. Thryll was telling me about the garden she has started at Bearn's house. It sounds lovely and with her eye for colour I'm sure it will be a delight when the flowers bloom. It's so wonderful to see the two of them together, it's clear they care for one another deeply. I hope both of their families come to their senses and realise what is important, the love and happiness two people can give each other, not titles or land or money or where someone is from. I have not had much contact with the Cavaliers since I joined. Though I have spoken with Ceolweld a few times, he has been in a strange mood lately. He did not say why and I did not like to ask. Our conversations have been short and felt slightly strained. I hope he is not falling ill.
