This is a Letter

Words cannot describe the joy I feel now; for yestereve I became a father!

My love, Malliel, fell into childbirth during the later hours of the day; as we were wandering through Galadriel's Garden (which we are fortunate!

The Lady herself said that we might use it, among other places, to birth the child). Using all my strength, I called to us the Lady Mithanor - who assisted greatly, being my wife's greatest friend in this world. It was not long after, that the Lady Nimlith arrived; and thus I was asked to avert my eyes.

Malliel's screams of pain were unbearable; I wept most, during the childbirth. The Lady Nimlith sang a song to ease the pain, and Mithanor assisted her. The husband was left to stand by the river, which I do not regret; for when I hear life flow into my newborn son's lungs, I wept with tears of joy and happiness.

A son, I am father to a son! The name I have given him is Nemben; my wife added Lavanion, with Mithanor gifting the child a name of Tinwende and Nimlith, Tinduant. As I held him, I felt strength and love. When I passed him to Malliel, so as he could feed; I felt joy.

My son, my dear son! Now, Malliel rests sweetly; and Nemben dreams in the cradle near. He is a quiet child, and does not stir or weep. I believe he is destined for great things; and I love him - I love both he and his mother so very much.
